DivX compression technology (codec) is a software application that compresses digital video so it can be downloaded over DSL or cable modems in a relatively short time with no reduced visual quality. What does this mean for you? It means that now, for the first time, you can download full-screen, full-motion videos from the Internet that actually look and sound like what you get from your television or DVD player, and are not the size of postage stamps. I've just tried it and I am VERY impressed (with the Codec - not so much the player!). The codec worked fine with MGI VideoWave III and plays well via Windows Media Player 7. Sound was choppy then disappeared in the DIXV player. It compresses heaps better that the MPEG 1 files I was creating. |

This page was automatically created from Windows internet shortcuts (or favorites) created with IE or Netscape (OS/2 WPS URLs can also be imported). You can comment any link or category and just about anything can be changed (links don't even need to be in tables). PPWIZARD, a free tool for Windows, Mac OS X, Unix or OS/2 built these pages using this source code .
All URLs are checked periodically using the my free URL validation tool (for Windows and OS/2). This ensures that very few if any links point to moved pages or return 404 errors etc.
