Microsoft HTML Help is the standard help system for the Windows platform. From what I can gather there is a Java viewer so help should be viewable on any platform. HTML Help offers some distinct advantages over standard HTML, such as the ability to implement a combined table of contents and index and the use of keywords for advanced hyperlinking capability. The free HTML Help compiler (part of the HTML Help Workshop) makes it possible to compress HTML, graphic, and other files into a relatively small compiled help (.chm) file, which can then be distributed with a software application, or downloaded from the Web. |

This free PPWIZARD add-on is used to create HTML/CHM (Windows Compiled Help file) files from simple easy to create text source. It can create OS/2 IPF/INF files as well and the HTML pages can be generated to make use of a Java navigation applet. It has many features which make it simple to create documentation with heaps of hypertext links and can the inclusion of examples without manual tagging. All largish documents on this site was created this way. |
A complete listing of all URLS is available if you are having trouble locating a URL.

This page was automatically created from Windows internet shortcuts (or favorites) created with IE or Netscape (OS/2 WPS URLs can also be imported). You can comment any link or category and just about anything can be changed (links don't even need to be in tables). PPWIZARD, a free tool for Windows, Mac OS X, Unix or OS/2 built these pages using this source code .
All URLs are checked periodically using the my free URL validation tool (for Windows and OS/2). This ensures that very few if any links point to moved pages or return 404 errors etc.
