This is an inbuilt function function provided by PPWIZARD.

This function is identical to the inbuilt rexx "lineout" routine except that it will terminate with an error message if the output could not be written. There is no return code.

This routine takes these parameters:

  1. FileName
This is the name of a file being written to.

  2. NewLine
This is the line being output. Note that the "line" may actually contain imbedded newlines and so may generate more than one line, however line termination is always added at the end of the string.

You might also wish to have a look at the DieIfIoErrorOccurred() routine.
