Under XP and WIN2000 you can configure environment variables by following "My ComputerPropertiesAdvancedEnvironment Variables".

Note that you may have to logoff and/or restart the computer for the change to take effect.
|Setting Environment in WIN95-WINME or Command Prompt|
The "SET" command can be used from a command prompt, for example:
In WIN95-WINME you should be able to place set commands in "autoexec.bat".
