EmC (Email Control) is an anti-spam tool that allows you to reduce the number of junk mails arriving in your inbox. The program works with a combination of filters, that can be customized by the user and checks the mail while it is still on your ISPs server. Based on your filter criteria, it will process the mail and optionally delete all Spam or mark it for deletion. EmC also works as an email checker, allowing you to view messages on the server, before doing any delete actions. In addition, you can check your mail for any script based viruses or other hazards before doewnloading it to your computer. New filters can be easily added and the programs comes equipped with a large list of presets include "Find sender onwer domain" in the registration domain database. It is freeware, not sure but there may be a "pro" version. It got 4.5/5 in APC May 2003 review. |

Email Remover |

Email Remover works like a regular email program when communicating to the mail server; but it only downloads the first few lines of each mails. This allows the user to determine whether the mail is a spam or not. User may choose to delete the mail immediately without the need of downloading them. "Nags" unless registered (so more shareware than free), still it may be worth a try.

POPFile | http://getpopfile.org/ |
14 December 2008 2:50:26pm
POPFile is an automatic mail classification tool (free and open source). Once properly set up and trained, it will work in the background of your computer, scanning mail as it arrives and filing it however you wish. You can give it a simple job, like separating out junk e-mail, or a complicated one - like filing mail into a dozen folders. Think of it as a personal assistant for your inbox. It got 1/5 in APC May 2003 review (too hard to use). Seems to have had other good reviews. |

PopTray Mail Notifier | http://www.poptray.org/ |
14 December 2008 2:51:43pm
PopTray started as a little POP3 mail checker I wrote, because I couldn't find a freeware program that had all the features I wanted. Since then, new features have been added by request. After years of refinement PopTray 3.0 has now become a full-featured, customizable, e-mail notifier, but keeping it's ease of use. |

SpamPal for Windows | http://www.spampal.org/ |
23 April 2003 12:27:30pm
SpamPal sits between your email program and your mailbox, checking your email as you retrieve it. Any email messages that SpamPal considers to be spam will be "tagged" with a special header; you simply configure your email client to filter anything with this header into a separate folder and your spam won't be mixed up with the rest of your email anymore! It got .5/5 (half star!) in APC May 2003 review.

This page was automatically created from Windows internet shortcuts (or favorites) created with IE or Netscape (OS/2 WPS URLs can also be imported). You can comment any link or category and just about anything can be changed (links don't even need to be in tables). PPWIZARD, a free tool for Windows, Mac OS X, Unix or OS/2 built these pages using this source code .
All URLs are checked periodically using the my free URL validation tool (for Windows and OS/2). This ensures that very few if any links point to moved pages or return 404 errors etc.
