PPWIZARD is a free preprocessor for HTML, REXX, Visual Basic or any text files.
This variable contains the date and time the compile started.
The date and time is of a fairly "pretty" format. The default format is suitable for Australia and subject to change at my whim. Basically, if you need a specific format then configure this, do not assume that this variable returns any specific format.
The symbol makes use of the FormatTime() routine to perform the formatting with the 3rd parameter being "PPWIZARD". This information will allow you to alter the language and adjust some formatting.
To determine the overall formatting PPWIZARD first looks for a macro called "PPWIZARD_FORMAT_COMPILETIME", if this is not found then it will look for a macro called "PPWIZARD_FORMAT_DATETIME", if this is not found then PPWIZARD uses its default formatting string of "%c".
Note that it is possible to supply an alternative format (see FormatTime()) to override the default. To do this add a colon followed by the time format without spaces (use "%_" in place of spaces).
The formatting is executed on every expansion of this symbol to allow you to adjust its formatting at any time however the time being formatted is always the same (as at the start of the compile).
This is a Standard Definition which always exists (you don't need to #define it). Note that you can create your own variations or completely new ones (see the examples).
|Example - Simplest Formatting Change|
;--- Method 1 --- #define PPWIZARD_FORMAT_COMPILETIME %v at %r ;;Modify format (optional) Built <?CompileTime> ;--- Method 2 --- Built <?CompileTime:%v%_at%_%r>
