DialogPreview
The "DialogPreview" Command |
This command allows you preview one or more dialogs to see how they
would look at install time.
Of course some properties the dialog may refer to may be unavailable and
so some text may not be exactly as you'd expect.
It would allow you to make multiple changes to a dialog and see
quickly see how they would look (without having to wait for the build to
complete and then using "ORCA"" to view a single version of a dialog).
This command takes these parameters:
- Dialog (positional)
This is used to indicate which dialog should be displayed.
Pass "" to preview all or the name of a single dialog, anything else
is a regular expression which should match the complete dialog name.
;--- Display a single dialog ---
<$DialogPreview "FilesInUse">
;--- Display all dialogs ---
<$DialogPreview>
;--- Display all dialogs with "Welcome" in their name ---
<$DialogPreview ".*Welcome.*">
The most likely regular expression codes you are likely to use are
demonstrated above.
The ".*" means match zero or more bytes of any character, as used above it
will find "Welcome" whether it starts or ends the string or is imbedded.
