This site provides a free service which counts downloads from your site. This is paid for by banner adds on the intermediate download page. I have created a free PPWIZARD add-on called "DLCNTR.IH" which not only creates download counters for this site automatically but it creates very informative download links with tooltips and automatically marks "new" downloads as new. Very configurable.

Free Java Hit Counter |

This is a free (check restrictions) Java (applet) Hit counter. The beauty of this counter is that you only need to create a single counter to obtain a template and then the creation of all other page counters can be automated (for example with html preprocessors such as PPWIZARD). You have quite a large choice of graphics although this is not obvious as the site is very primative. |

Free Web Page Hit Counters |

Uses LARGE banner to pay for this "free" service. The only reason I list it (as it is also fairly basic looking) is that the counter generation can be automated with a html preprocessor such as PPWIZARD. |

This is a CGI based counter program to keep record of the raw hits of a web page. It generates a GIF image of the number of hits and returns to the browser as an in-lined image. The program also has a run-time option not to show the digit images, this way the hits can be kept without displaying it. The hits can be be monitored without incrementing from a separate page as well. The program can also can display time and date of any timezone. It has a option to countdown to a specific date (past or future). Almost all of the features are run-time options. This program started as a fun-to-play-with CGI program but due to enormous interest, feature request, input from thousands of you, it has turned in to the most configurable hit counter on the whole World Wide Web and it's free. The program runs on almost all Known Unix platforms, Windows NT, OS/2, VMS and Amiga. This page includes documentation for what is a very popular counter program which many ISP's provide and is hosted on quite a few sites. The addition of simple counters such as this can be automated with my free ppwizard tool. |

Might need to search for this (site being rebuilt). |
A complete listing of all URLS is available if you are having trouble locating a URL.
If you have some completely free software (no adware and without timeouts or major restrictions) which you would like listed then please email me:
This page was automatically created from Windows internet shortcuts (or favorites) created with IE or Netscape (OS/2 WPS URLs can also be imported). You can comment any link or category and just about anything can be changed (links don't even need to be in tables). PPWIZARD, a free tool for Windows, Mac OS X, Unix or OS/2 built these pages using this source code .
All URLs are checked periodically using the my free URL validation tool (for Windows and OS/2). This ensures that very few if any links point to moved pages or return 404 errors etc.
